Unlike the normal self-cleaning mode, in the 56°C sterilisation mode the heat exchanger is heated to 56°C for 30 minutes, killing up to 99.9% of bacteria after only two cycles of use.

UVC sterilisation technology uses the deep ultraviolet light of the UVC lamp to irradiate airborne single-cell microorganisms.
